Leading Green/sustainability consultancy seeking Government Strategies/Relations Associate to build programs and partnerships with Federal, State and Local agencies for Green Workforce Development/Energy Efficiency programs. Position also includes a heavy planning, organizing, writing and budgetary program development component. Experience with government contract bids and grantwriting experience is preferable. Applicants should be able to demonstrate high project management competency, immaculate attention to detail, an interest in sustainability, high client-facing skills proficiency and a passion and interest in Environmental Sustainability and Green Workforce Development.
Experience building fundable training partnerships between state and local WIBs, Career Center networks, private companies, community-based organizations and labor management organizations is a plus.
The Associate will report directly to the Senior Director of Government Relations becoming fully integrated into the Green Government development project team within the first few months of employment. The combination of on-the-job training, classroom training and on-going coaching and mentoring will enable the Associate to enjoy outstanding professional growth and career opportunities.
Requirements:
- At least 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- High business analysis skill and creativity
- Fast learner and lightning fast writer
- High Excel proficiency is preferable
- Great attention to detail and contract proof-reading skills
- Fluency with Microsoft Suite
- Some SAS or statistical analysis experience preferable
- Interest in green initiatives and policies preferred
- Applicant should be from a top-tier university or illustrate equivalent honors
